A Fortune 500 surface and materials science company that helps customers change the nature of products, markets, and even the world, is looking for a Process Engineer.

Company Background:
Located in White Plains, New York it is a key-manufacturing site for the corporation. The site produces materials for use in the cosmetic, automotive and industrial markets. They also produce polymer films for use in decorative products.

Job Description:
The process engineering role is designed to provide technical support for operations, quality, and technology development. This role requires that the individual work in concert with the plant to meet their needs for technical support, but also to act as the manufacturing representative on new product and new process development efforts germane to the assigned area of focus.

Major Responsibilities:
Participate in and/or lead teams in support of optimizing plant processes for quality, cost, and productivity. Identify, evaluate and make recommendations regarding new process technologies. Provide process-engineering support to the plant to lead efforts associated with new product and process commercialization. Act as the manufacturing representative on new product and new process development efforts. Coordinate and lead plant trials associated with all the aforementioned areas.

Qualifications:
Minimum of BS in Chemical or Materials Science Engineering, and 5-10 years related experience in a process industry. The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal skills and be able to establish effective relationships quickly. He or she should have experience in working as part of a team and a strong technical aptitude. Candidate must possess strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Candidate must display initiative and a have a strong drive for results.

Air Compliance Specialist

ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEER

Our client company, located in Southern Connecticut has been a pioneer in the development, manufacturing, and marketing of specialty chemical products for over seven decades.

We currently have an opportunity for an individual with a BS in Engineering or scientific discipline and three to six years experience in an air regulatory compliance position.

The right candidate must be familiar with Federal and state air compliance regulations, be organized and detail oriented, have analytical capability, good communication skill, and facility with MS Excel.

Job Duties include:

·         Maintain and develop air emissions inventory Excel spreadsheets.  This includes tracking production information, developing emissions calculations for new and/or modified products or processes and developing systems to confirm the accuracy of emissions calculations through stack testing.

·         Maintain compliance with fugitive emissions regulations, including performing leak tests on fugitive emissions sources.  Develop a plant-wide fugitive emissions measurement program.

·         Prepare submittals to DEP for regulatory compliance including annual GPLPE reports and NSPS submittals.

·         Maintain compliance with all applicable air regulations, including Federal and Connecticut.  Be aware of regulatory changes sufficiently ahead-of-time to ensure continuous compliance.

·         Evaluate plant changes with respect to permitting or registration requirements. Submit any required air permit or registration applications.

·         Provide support to the Environmental Foreman in waste management and compliance including assisting with profiling waste streams, scheduling waste pickups and maintaining waste tracking data.

·         Provide support to the Environmental Foreman in wastewater discharge compliance including assisting with scheduling sampling, data management and preparation and submittal of Discharge Monitoring Reports.

·         Interface with the Production and Maintenance departments to initiate environmental projects, improvements and repairs.

·         Provide support to the ISO14001 Environmental Management System and participate in Quality and Safety ISO systems as an auditor.
